Dawn Triconi, Executive Director

Dawn is one who is passionate about serving a purpose greater than self. She is genuinely dedicated to understanding others, which naturally builds and nurtures personal and professional relationships. She is an accomplished, goal-driven professional with over 25 years of experience in the Operations, Marketing, Accounting and Non-Profit sectors. With extensive experience managing multiple projects, Dawn has a proven track record of delivering, planning and executing marketing campaigns and events.

Dawn served as finance director for United Way of Hernando County. Moving to new opportunities, she accepted a position with Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce as their event coordinator and later was promoted to Director of Operations. More recently, Dawn spent four years in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire enjoying life on Lake Winnipesaukee, while serving as the Executive Director for Intown Concord producing events and programs that encouraged economic vitality to downtown Concord NH.  She’s excited to be part of the Brooksville Main Street community and is looking forward to the many adventures that await!

Cassandra Brockway, Event Director

Cassandra is an accomplished Operations Manager with a proven track record in the stock transfer industry, specializing in project management and operational leadership. With a keen ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency, Cassandra has consistently delivered impactful results in fast-paced environments. In addition to her professional expertise, she is deeply committed to the Brooksville community, bringing energy and vitality to local initiatives. As a leader, she combines strategic vision with a passion for fostering growth and collaboration, both in her workplace and within her community.

Cassandra grew up in England, moving to the U.S. in 2014 she brought with her a fresh perspective and a global approach to her professional career. Her journey from England to the U.S. has shaped her unique perspective on leadership, community, and the value of diverse experiences in both her professional and personal life. She looks forward to working with Brooksville Main Street to work to add to the charm of Brooksville.

  • Christopher Rhodes Brooksville Main Street Board Member

    Christopher Rhodes, Board President & Design Committee Co-Chair

    Although Chris only moved to Brooksville in 2021, he has been visiting it for decades. He is a mental health therapist by trade and a historic preservationist by passion. His spare time is spent renovating his over 100-year-old home in our Brooksville Avenue Historic District and in photographing our city. Chris shares his home with four cats that came with the house. His favorite BMS program is Christmas on Main, which he can walk to as it is just a couple of blocks from his home.

  • Jody Young, Board Vice-President & Promotions Committee Chair

    Jody first came to Brooksville in the 1980s when her parents bought a home here and then moved here herself in 1999. Jody's career for many years involved serving in local government finance/administration but has most recently begun working for Edmunds GovTech as a Customer Support Specialist Level III providing financial software support to governmental clients around the country.

    Jody loves both national and international travel, but also very much enjoys fishing locally on their boat and spending time outdoors on the Adventure Coast with her husband Brent, three adult sons, 2 grandchildren, and their sweet dog Molly. Christmas on Main Street events are her favorite BMS-hosted activities; she loves the physical transformation of the downtown as well as the joy the activities bring to all those who attend.

    Amanda Cunningham-Rud, Board Secretary

    Amanda was raised in rural Northwest Indiana near Chicago. Early in life, Amanda was exposed to the concept of public service as her grandfather and other family members served the State of Indiana in various elected roles. She moved to Florida with her husband in 2011. Over the next several years, Amanda quickly noticed Brooksville Main Street partnering with the City of Brooksville, Hernando County, and local businesses to enrich the community. She wanted to be part of that, so she started volunteering for BMS in different capacities. She saw a call out for board members and applied. Amanda joined the Brooksville Main Street Board of Directors in 2021.

    Amanda currently works full-time as a public school teacher at Brooksville Elementary School. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 99 and serves on the City of Brooksville’s Parks and Recreation and Beautification Boards. “I donate my time and talent to Brooksville Main Street because I want my son and our community’s kids to be proud of their hometown. There’s something special about Brooksville and I have no doubt that Brooksville Main Street is and will play a key role in fostering Brooksville’s success.”

  • Keith Marcelle, Board Treasurer

    Keith is the proud owner of Marcelle Enterprises LLC. He graduated from LSU in 1998 and has lived in Hernando County since 2005. Keith values his family and friends above all else and greatly enjoys connecting with our community through all of our local events.

  • Mandi Dixon, Board Member & Organization Committee Co-Chair

    Mandi is a dynamic force in the music and entertainment industry with a profound love for small towns and historic buildings.

    While in Nashville, she took her love for music and culture to the next level by founding Mandolin Entertainment, a venture where she worked closely with acclaimed artists and continued to make a mark in the industry. Her experiences in Nashville only deepened her affection for the rich history and unique architecture found in the city's historic buildings.

    After returning to Florida in 2018, Mandi embraced motherhood, and small-town life while falling in love with historic preservation.

    Mandi's expertise spans management, branding, public relations, and event management, making her a respected figure in the industry. Her unique blend of professional acumen and heartfelt appreciation for the beauty of small towns and historic buildings sets her apart as a dynamic and multifaceted individual in the world of music and entertainment.

  • Lee Johnson - Brooksville Main Street Board Member

    Lee Johnson, Board Member

    Lee has been involved in the city since 1998, living downtown and running a BMS district business, Downtown Loser, with her spouse, Celeste. They have four adult children, six grandchildren, and two dogs Sophie and Coco. Lee likes playing the ukulele and pickleball, and also enjoys traveling and photography. Her favorite BMS program is Friday Night Live (which takes place in Hernando Park so she could play pickleball or play the ukulele or take photos while she enjoys the concert)!

  • Barbara Manuel Brooksville Main Street Board Member

    Barbara Manuel, Board Member

    Barbara came to Brooksville in 1966 when she married her husband, Steve. He worked at HHS as Band Director and she taught Chorus for many years, but when they retired, they took over the local radio station. They’ve expanded that to three stations over the years, and in her spare time, Barbara managed the inaugural BMS Promotion Committee and single-handedly raised $46,000 for our holiday decorations. That makes the December activities Barbara’s favorite BMS program and she loves watching how much people enjoy downtown during that time.

  • Shalamar McNair

    Shalamar McNair, Board Member

    Shalamar moved to Brooksville when he was five andgraduated from Hernando High School in 2000. He left that year and has been back for 14 years. In the last four years he has turned to a sober life (May 3, 2020) and has been VERY active in the community since.

    He was the main stage DJ at Lead Foot City, before construction started. He is the main DJ for Hernando County Boys & Girls Club. He is a member of the Greater Chamber of Commerce of Hernando County. Last he owns his own business, Shal’s Mobile Services Inc and DJ Shalamar - a DJ and entertainment company.

    He’s been DJ’ing for 24 years and also holds a Masters in Executive Management! In his owns words “I’m excited to be apart of the Brooksville Main Street board because my life now is all about the pay it forward vibes and giving back to the community.”

  • Justin Noe, Board Member & Economic Vitality Co-chair

    WIth years of experience investing, buying and selling homes across the country, Justin’s dream has been to share his knowedge and expertise with others on their way to achieving their own real estate dreams.

    He is a husband and father first, as well as a Marine Corps Veteran with more than 20 years of honorable service.

    Justin is an active real estate agent at Agile Group Realty in the Nature Coast area, a real estate investor, a co-founder of Twin Pillars Investments, Brooksville Investment Group and the Real Estate Co-Op. He grew up in Brookville and joined the Marines at age 18. The Noe’s journey moved them cross-country 4 times, to 6 diferent states, 14 different homes before returning to his hometown.

  • Jennifer Rey Brooksville Main Street Board Member

    Jennifer Rey, Board member & Organization Committee Co-Chair

    Jennifer has been in Brooksville since 1986, with a few years in the middle spent in Wyoming. She is Managing Partner at Hogan Law Firm.. She is always willing to lend a hand unless the Tampa Lightning is playing - then we have to wait! Jennifer most enjoys our Christmas on Main Tree Lighting and organizing kids’ activities in the Hogan garage during BMS events.

  • Jimmie Ray Rodgers

    Jimmie Ray Rodgers, Board Member & Economic Vitality Co-Chair

    Born in Tampa Bay and exclusively raised in Brooksville, Jimmie Ray is that rare Florida native! His family has been here in Brooksville for nearly 100 years. He has a huge passion for helping others and always has. He currently is a Florida Realtor with Century 21 Alliance Realty and the Rodgers Group here in Hernando County. He loves God, his family, and the beach! He is an accomplished equestrian huntsman and has a compassion for animals, especially horses. He has a flair for the arts and city life.

  • Christie Williams, Board Member & Design Committee Co-Chair

    Christie has lived in Brooksville her entire life. Go Leopards! For the past seven years, she has been an active member of the Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is proud to be serving as Board Chair for 2024. She currently serves as a Board Member for BMS as well as Design Committee Co-Chair.

    Christie has a degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design, along with 20+ years of Parks and Recreation experience combined with more than 35 years of Hospitality. She currently works for the City of Brooksville as Retreat Manager of Chinsegut Hill Retreat.

    This past year, while serving on the Promotions Committee, she jumped in with both feet by taking on a lead role for BMS’s Christmas on Main Street celebration!

    Christmas on Main Street holds a special place in her heart. Her great grandmother used to play Santa Claus, and some of Christie’s cherished memories are from those festive days. Bringing that same joy and magic to our community is incredibly meaningful to her.

    She’s excited to serve on the Brooksville Main Street Board of Directors and looks forward to continuing to make our town a wonderful place to live and celebrate. Being part of the "Brooksville Renaissance”, she can't wait to share her vision with the community!
